STUDENTS AS SCIENTISTS: NATURE-BASED INQUIRY
Students as Scientists uses nature to inspire student curiosity and scientific investigations. These free units include six lessons plus slides and handouts that will help you guide your students to ask and answer their own questions, bringing the excitement of doing real science to your classroom!
Our friends at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology have pulled the best parts of Investigating Evidence, our previous inquiry-based science unit, and combined them with new activities, updated resources, and inclusive teaching practices to create Students as Scientists. As requested, there are now differentiated units for K-5th and 6-12th grades. They also created editable Google Slideshows and Docs to further help teachers create a unit that works for their learners.
